'Duck Dynasty' scarecrow stolen & burned

A Georgia teen is facing charges after the destruction of a scarecrow crafted to look like one of the stars of A&E's "Duck Dynasty."

According to the "Cherokee Tribune," the suspect is accused of snatching the "Uncle Si" scarecrow from the streets of downtown Ball Ground on a lark, then burning it after getting nervous about his misdeed.

The city of Ball Ground initially offered $1,000 for the scarecrow's whereabouts. The straw-stuffed character was later found scattered and burned in the yard of the teen's home in Canton.  The teen reportedly confessed to taking it.

The "Uncle Si" scarecrow was created by a group of parents of fourth graders at Ball Ground Elementary school.  The school's principal tells the paper the scarecrow will be missed.
